At the 2nd Arab Cinema Week in New York (November 17-23), organized by MoviePigs in cooperation with the Arab Cinema Center (ACC), Egypt is the Country in Focus participating with six films, out of 22 films, screening at Cinema Village in New York. The Egyptian films are: Sheikh Jackson by Amr Salama, Photocopy by Tamer Ashry, A Man Wanted (Bashtery Ragel) by Mohamed Ali, Ali, the Goat and Ibrahim by Sherif El Bendary, Mawlana by Magdy Ahmed Ali and A Present From the Past by Kawthar Younis.
The 2nd Arab Cinema Week is going to host a Q&A with star Ahmed Malek after the screening of Sheikh Jackson, the festival's opening film. Star Shereen Reda will be attending a Q&A after the screening of her film Photocopy. Reda will also be awarded the Distinguished Arab Actress award.
