Certified Mail Film Project by Producer Mohamed Hefzy Vies for the Awards of Final Cut in Venice Workshop

Producer Mohamed Hefzy's latest production, the film project Certified Mail by director Hisham Saqr, has been selected to take part in the Final Cut in Venice workshop (September 1-3), held under the banner of Venice International Film Festival (28 August- 8 September).

Certified Mail follows Hala, who has been living with the fear of abandonment since her father passed away when she was 18. She suffers from clinical depression, which leads her to several suicide attempts.

Written and directed by Hisham Saqr, Certified Mail stars Basma, Passant Shawky, Mohamed Sarhan, Lobna Asal and Rafal Abdelkader. The film is co-produced by Mohamed Hefzy (Film Clinic) and Hisham Saqr (White Feather).

Producer/Screenwriter Mohamed Hefzy has been recently selected to serve as a jury member at the Horizons (Orizzonti) section at the 75th Venice International Film Festival.

The 6th Final Cut in Venice workshopsupports films in the post-production stage from Africa, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine and Syria. The film selections are screened to an audience of producers, distributors and programmers of international film festivals. The workshop concludes with an award ceremony to honor the winning films that will be supported through the post-production phase.

The Final Cut in Venice aimsto develop the role of the Venice International Film Festival to become a dedicated platform for supporting independent filmmaking in these countries through providing effective production support and promoting the films on the international market level.
