Star-Studded Panels for Arab Talent Hotbed Event in Cannes
Arab Cinema Center, MAD Celebrity & Neom Media Hub Join Forces to Showcase The Rise of Arab Artists and Artisans in the Entertainment World
The Arab Cinema Center (ACC), in collaboration with MAD Celebrity and Neom Media Hub, is proud to present Talent Hotbed: How Arab Artists and Artisans are Conquering the Entertainment World — a star-studded three-hour event that will take place on May 17th from 3pm-6pm.
This exclusive event will take place at the Plage des Palmes beach-side networking venue for the Cannes Film Market and its Marché du Film and will feature two captivating panels followed by an hour-long invite-only reception, promising a gathering of celebrity talent and industry insiders.
Speakers include: trailblazing Egyptian superstar Youssra; the much in-demand actor Ahmed Malek; rising Saudi actor Yagoub Alfarhan, the lead in the Cannes-selected Saudi film NORAH; renowned TV host Raya Abirached; celebrated Tunisian producer Dora Bouchoucha; Egyptian cinematographer Mostafa El Kashef; Jordanian director Murad Abu Eisheh, Jordanian-Canadian film composer Suad Bushnaq; award-winning Canadian producer Roger Frappier; casting director and president of the European Board of Governors for the Casting Society, Cassandra Han; managing director of media industries, entertainment and culture at Neom, Wayne Borg; general manager of MBC Studios and MBC Academy, Zeinab Abu AlSamh; and co-founder of MAD Solutions and the ACC Alaa Karkouti.
The event will kick off with The Arab New Wave: The Actors, moderated by Melanie Goodfellow of Deadline, from 3pm- 4pm. This discussion will bring together some of the Arab cinema industry's current superstars to share insights into the opportunities and challenges they face in making their mark on the international stage.
The second panel, The Arab New Wave: The Artists and Artisans, will be held from 4pm-5pm and moderated by Michael Rosser of Screen International. This panel will shine a spotlight on the newest generation of behind-the-camera talents, celebrating their international career journeys and exploring the necessary steps for these film artists to gain recognition beyond the MENA region.

The ACC was established by MAD Solutions in 2015 as an international promotional and networking platform for Arab cinema.
