Arab Cinema Center Discusses the Rise of Arab Talent on the Regional and International Stage in Special Cannes Panel
09 May 2026:

As part of the 79th edition of the Cannes Film Festival, the Arab Cinema Center will spotlight the unprecedented impact Arab talent is making both in front of and behind the camera in a panel titled ‘Rising Forces: Arab Talent regionally and internationally.’ The session will take place on Saturday, May 16th, from 12 to 1 pm on the Main Stage at the Marché du Film.

Moderated by Alaa Karkouti, Co-Founder of the Arab Cinema Center and CEO of MAD Solutions, the panel will bring together some of the entertainment industry’s leading figures to explore how careers are being built with resonance on both regional and international levels. The discussion will examine the driving forces behind the current momentum — from box office successes to the broad reach of streaming platforms — and how this influence can be sustained and expanded globally.

The panel will feature Raya Abirached, host of SCOOP WITH RAYA and a MAD Celebrity; composers Amine Bouhafa and Suad Bushnaq; Tarek Alarian, director and Founder of RAW Entertainment; and DOP Mostafa El Kashef.
