ARTLINK, Cultural Cooperation is supported by the Swiss Agency for Organization Development and Cooperation (The SüdKulturFonds). The fund provides event participation grants, market development grants, touring, production, and project grants for individuals, groups, as well as institutions working in audiovisual and media in particular cinema and music.
On behalf of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) artlink manages the grant scheme Sudkulturfonds.
The Sudkulturfonds offers two types of funding opportunities:
- The Ongoing Grant Programme accepts applications throughout the year
- The Call for Proposals Programme offers three grants targeting specific themes, practitioners, regions or disciplines.
Deadline for submission: 1) Applications for The Ongoing Grant Programme must be submitted at least 4 weeks prior to the event. Deadlines for the submission of funding requests:
- CHF 5,000 or more: January 31, April 30, August 31, November 30
- CHF 4,999 or less: evaluated on a rolling basis
2) Sudkulturfonds issues three types of calls for proposals each year: New Stage, Travel Network, and Response. Each of these proposals targets a specific region, theme, practitioners and artistic practices.
- TRAVEL NETWORK INVITES FIVE CULTURAL PRESENTERS AND PROMOTERS, BASED IN AFRICA, LATIN AMERICA, SOUTHEAST AND SOUTHWEST ASIA, AND EASTERN EUROPE (NON-EU COUNTRIES) TO A GUIDED GROUP VISIT OF SEVERAL DAYS IN SWITZERLAND. THE VISIT IS TAILORED TO PROMOTE AN EXCHANGE BETWEEN THE VISITORS AND SWITZERLAND’S CULTURAL SCENE.
- NEW STAGE supports a total of ten artists who are commissioned to produce a project in Music and Sound.
- RESPONSE inviting early career artists and art collectives working across all disciplines to submit their artist profile video. Grant of CHF 1,000. Deadline: May 8, 2022.
