Reel Sisters of the Diaspora Film Festival & Lecture Series is the first Academy-qualifying festival that is created with the purpose of shedding the light on short narratives produced, directed and written by women of color. Accepting all genres and formats, the festival pays a special attention for animated and web series producers. The festival introduces distribution and networking opportunities for women of color filmmakers, featuring out fun and friendly environment. It is open to: Narrative Features, Documentary Features, Narrative Shorts, Documentary Shorts, Animation Films, Web/New Media, Experimental Films and Comedy Films along with a special category for Work-in-progress.
