Created by filmmakers in celebration of the short filmmaking, New York City Short Film Festival is an international competitive short film festival that is open in seven categories: Drama Short, Comedy Short, Documentary Short, Animation Short, LGBT Short, Foreign Language Short and Student Short. Screening shorts from all over the world the festival has brought big and prominent names from a variety of countries over the past years. New York City Short Film Festival shows its appreciation and recognition to the top films by awarding the best in each category, besides presenting an Audience Choice Award.
