Montreal International Black Film Festival is the biggest festival in Canada dedicated to cast light on the black communities all over the world. The festival showcases feature documentaries, fiction films, feature films and short documentaries that tell the different realities and lives of Black people all over the world. Furthermore, the festival is a platform that gives a voice to black filmmakers to reflect on issues that their communities face. Aside from presenting awards to winning films, the festival provides scholarships and awards of excellence.
