venice international film festival

About:

Venice International Film Festival is the oldest film festival in the world as it was founded back in1932. In fact, it’s also one of the big three AKA the most notable festivals ever alongside Cannes and Berlin.  The official sections for this festival include, Venezia which is an international competition of around 20 feature-length films, Orizzonti which is an international competition dedicated to films that represent the latest aesthetic and expressive trends in international cinema. Also the festival pays a tribute to the past golden age of cinema with a section called Venice Classics that features the world premiere screenings of a collection of the best restorations of classic films (TBC). The festival also features a workshop called Final Cut in Venice that aims to support the post-production of films from Africa and the Middle East. ‎
