Los Angeles Cinematography AWARDS (LACA) seeks to promote and shed the light on the creative art of filmmaking and cinematography. LACA aims to support and encourage emerging and young cinematographers by providing them with a place where they can share their work with audiences and take steps towards their careers. The festival shows its recognition for the outstanding achievements and projects by awarding Laurels and Certificates for the monthly semi-finalists and finalists, as well as Golden Eagle Statuettes for LACA Best Cinematographer of the Year, LACA Best Picture of the Year and LACA Best American Film of the Year.
