Established in 2000, Izmir International Short Film Festival is one of the biggest film events in Turkey and the first film festival that gives international awards for short films. The festivals is open to national and international films of various genres, including fiction, documentary, animation and experimental. In recognition for their achievements, the festival also presents awards for the best in each category.
