The CUZCO UNDERGROUND CINEMA FESTIVAL (CUCIF) is an independent film festival that showcases short and feature films from all over the globe in many genres, including narrative, documentary, experimental, horror, animation, and LGBT. The CUCIF takes place in the beautiful and touristic city of Cuzco, southeast of Peru, which is recognized as the historical capital of that nation and which houses millennia of Inca culture. The films are projected on walls that have centuries of culture, which gives the Festival a particular historical and cultural connotation.
