With the mission of supporting and recognizing independent filmmakers of all ages and backgrounds, the Route 66 Film Festival strives to introduce audiences to talented artists from around the world, as well as the American Midwest. Its general theme is a journey, whether emotional, physical, spiritual or personal. The Festival was listed on Moviemaker magazine’s Top 25 festivals worth the entry fee in 2008 and was also a featured festival at the 2009 International Film Festival Summit in Las Vegas. Now in its 19th year, the Festival is a growing venue for independent filmmakers worldwide that celebrates diversity and welcomes films of all lengths and genres.
