Inspired by Emma Lazarus’s poem inscribed at the base of the Statue of Liberty in Jersey City “I lift my lamp beside the golden door!”, Golden Door International Film Festival seeks filmmakers, actors and crew- established and emerging ones- from all over the world in a one-of-kind four-day film festival. Open to various categories, including Narrative Feature, Short Film, Documentary, Student Film, Women in Cinema-Alice Guy Blache, LGBT, NJ Filmmakers of Tomorrow-James Gandolfini Award-Hudson County High School Student Filmmakers, Local Films, Films For Raising Awareness, Music Videos and New Media, the festival also offers a number of prestigious awards.
