Organized by Parajanov-Vartanov Institute, DOC LA showcases great films that set excellent examples of the World and American cinema. In addition to the screenings, the festival also awards the outstanding films made by students, established and emerging filmmakers. The awards offered by the festivals are from various categories, including Best Documentary Award, Best Short Documentary Award, Best Student Documentary Award along with Directing, Cinematography, Screenwriting, Editing, Composer, Producer, Animation, Audience and Experimental Awards.
