Considered as the oldest children’s film festival in the Western Hemisphere and the first and largest Oscar-qualifying children’s film festival in the world, Chicago International Children’s Film Festival showcases quality films by talented filmmakers. It is open to Special Prizes, Youth Jury Prizes, Children’s jury prizes and Professional Jury Prizes, which include a diversity of awards such as Best Live-Action Short, Best Animated Short, Best Documentary Feature, Best Animated TV, Best Live-Action Feature and others.
