Known as the largest film festival in Alberta, Calgary International Film Festival offers numerous awards for outstanding films from all around the world. The festival includes many competitions for short and feature films, including Canadian Narrative Feature Competition, DGC Canadian Documentary Competition, International Narrative Competition, International Documentary Competition, Live Action Short Films, Animated Short Films, Documentary Short Films, Alberta Short Films and Student Short Films. In addition to the competitions, the festival also grants distinguished awards, some of which are; CIFF Fan Favourite Award and Fan of the Year Award.
