Aiming to support independent filmmakers and films from around the world, the British Independent Film Festival hosts many events, including screenings, interviews with filmmakers, and red carpets. Currently, the festival is also working on script services company ScriptUp that sponsor some new awards, including ScriptUp Select for The Best Unproduced Screenplay and a full ScriptUp service worth £150 for four other projects. Furthermore, the festival offers different awards such as Best Feature Film, Best Short Film, Best Student Film, Best Music Video, Best Cinematography, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress and British Lion Award.
