With a 44-year experience, Banff Centre Mountain Film and Book Festival is one of the most renowned mountain festivals. It brings together industry professionals and filmmakers in an innovative platform. It also gives the opportunity to meet real climbers, mountaineers, gear manufacturers as well as potential sponsors and journalists. The festival features 3 competitions; The Mountain Book, Mountain Film, and Mountain Idol Competitions. It is open for several categories, including Climbing, Mountain Sports and high adrenaline films, Mountain Culture, Mountain Environment & Natural History, Snow Sports and Exploration and Adventure.
