Wellington Independent Film Festival is interested in unique and creative independent work done by independent filmmakers. The festival gives filmmakers the opportunity to showcase their work in front of a live audience at Time Cinema Wellington. The festival aims to provide support to those who deserve it from talented filmmakers by offering them funding and distribution opportunities. The festival presents its awards for best films of feature, short, documentary, short documentary, drama, comedy thriller, animation and production design along with Best Editor, Best Director, Best Writer, Best Cinematographer, Best Producer and Best Music Video.
