One of Europe’s most prolific producers with a keen eye for provocative talent, Roman co-produced two of the standout Arab-language of recent years, PARADISE NOW and WADJDA, for which he secured funding from at least four German entities. Razor followed up with films such as Assad Fouladkar’s HALAL LOVE (AND SEX) and Shirin Neshat’s LOOKING FOR OUR KULTHUM. Among future Arab projects he has been helping to hatch is Abdellah Taïa’s THE TREASURE, to which Isabelle Huppert is attached.
