With only his second feature THE REPORTS ON SARAH AND SALEEM, Muayad made history as as an Arab filmmaker this year by premiering in the main competition in Rotterdam and winning both the IFFR Audience Award and Jury Award for its screenplay. The film, his follow-up to LOVE, THEFT AND OTHER ENTANGLEMENTS, incited a big debate about the use of Israeli actors who are pro-Palestinian rights.
