Mohamed’s breakthrough debut HEDI became the first film since PARADISE NOW to appear in competition at the Berlinale, where it scooped awards for both Best Director and Best actor in 2016. His second feature WELDI, about a father who in search of a son who has joined extremists in Syria, will premiere here at Cannes in Directors' Fortnight. Both films produced by Dora Bouchoucha and distributed by MAD Solutions for the Arab world and by Lux Box internationally.
