Both the Arab films appearing in this year’s competition section at Cannes this year – AB Shawky’s YOMEDDINE and Nadine Labaki’s CAPERNAUM - will be handled by Wild Bunch. The French powerhouse sales company, which is part of a group that also includes a pan-European distribution network, has four other films also slated to appear as part of the festival this year, including the latest films by Jean-Luc Godard, Kore-Eda Hirokazu and Gaspar Noe. YOMEDDINE, which reminded Cannes' artistic director Thierry Fremaux of Italian neorealism, has already secured distribution in France, where it will be released by Le Pacte.
