
Suzannah Mirghani gained international recognition with her short film AL-SIT, which became a breakout success on the global festival circuit, winning dozens of awards, including the Canal+ Prize at Clermont-Ferrand and multiple Oscar-qualifying prizes. Her follow-up works, including VIRTUAL VOICE, premiered at Tribeca, further showcasing her ability to blend social commentary with formal experimentation.
COTTON QUEEN: Based on her previous highly successful short, AL SITT, Mirghani\'s debut feature premiered as part of the 82nd Biennale’s Critics’ Week and went on to win major international recognition, including Best Film and Score at Thessaloniki and an Audience Award at Doha.
