CAREER HIGHLIGHT(S):

Founded in 2017 by acclaimed filmmakers Amjad Abu Alala and Mohamed Alomda, Station Films was born out of necessity in a country with no formal film infrastructure to craft powerful, internationally recognized films that spotlight authentic, untold stories from Sudan and the wider region. The company’s debut feature, YOU WILL DIE AT TWENTY, premiered at the Venice International Film Festival, won the Lion of the Future Award, and became Sudan’s first-ever Oscar submission. This historic milestone was followed by GOODBYE JULIA, which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival and won the Prix de Liberté, cementing Station Films as a leading force in Sudanese and Arab cinema.

TWELVE-MONTH HIGHLIGHT(S):

BLUE CARD: One of Sudan Films’ most anticipated projects, this Sudanese?Egyptian?German co?production — directed by Mohamed Alomda and produced by Amjad Abu Alala — has already drawn major international attention, securing prestigious support from the Red Sea Lodge (Grand Prize, MBC Studios Award, SHIFT Award), CineGouna, and AFAC.
THE LAST MIRACLE: The company’s short film by Egyptian director Abdelwahab Shawky had a sold?out world premiere at the 46th CIFF before going on to screen at festivals including the Malmö Arab Film Festival, where it won the Best Short Film Award.
