
Founded in 2011 by Rula Nasser, one of the most active producers in the Arab World, The Imaginarium Films produced many award-winning films, such as THE LAST FRIDAY, which premiered at the Berlinale; the Saudi film SCALES, which won the Verona Film Club Award at Venice; Ali Abbasi\'s HOLY SPIDER, Denmark\'s entry for Best International Feature at the 95th Academy Awards; THE ALLEYS, the first Jordanian feature film to be selected at Locarno; INSHALLAH A BOY, the first Jordonian film at the Official Selection at Cannes; the Saudi film HAJJAN; and Mohamed Diab\'s AMIRA, which premiered at Venice and won three awards.
ALL THAT’S LEFT OF YOU: The Imaginarium Films produced Cherien Dabis’ Palestinian family drama, which premiered at Sundance before heading to Karlovy Vary, Sydney, Red Sea, Marrakech, San Francisco, Thessaloniki, and Hong Kong. The film was also Jordan’s official submission to the Academy Awards, making it to the December shortlist, and won several awards.
OCCUPATIONAL HAZARDS: The Imaginarium Films is producing Bassel Ghandour’s latest project after producing his crime caper THE ALLEYS — the first Jordanian feature selected at Rotterdam and Locarno. The project has already secured backing from AFAC, the Doha Film Institute, and CineGouna Funding.
COYOTES: Co-produced by The Imaginarium Films and directed by Palestinian-British filmmaker Said Zagha, this short world premiered at Venice and went on to win Best Short Film at BFI London, Red Sea, and Carthage.
