CAREER HIGHLIGHT(S):

The RFC was established to develop an internationally competitive Jordanian film industry and is a member of the Association for Film Commissioners International. In 2024, the RFC celebrated its 20th anniversary by inaugurating the country’s first comprehensive studio complex — Olivewood Film Studios. The RFC established the Jordan Film Fund (JFF) in 2011 as a financial scheme founded and financed by the RFC to fund cinematic projects and empower local and Arab filmmakers.

TWELVE-MONTH HIGHLIGHT(S):

Enhanced Cash Rebate: At the Cannes Film Festival in May 2025, the RFC unveiled a significantly boosted financial incentive program. The cash rebate was raised from a 25% cap to a tiered system of up to 45% on qualifying in-country spend. Combined with automatic exemptions from the 16% VAT and 10% withholding tax, the new package offers total savings of up to 56% of eligible spend, making Jordan one of the most cost-effective options in the region.
Support for Local TV: In early 2026, the RFC announced the positive impact of its 30% cash rebate on local productions, specifically benefiting Roya Media Group\'s comedy series, like SHAKER and QUBAN MOUSA.
Jordan Cinema Academy: The academy’s first academic year began in October 2024 in collaboration with the German Jordanian University. This four-semester program is set to conclude its first cycle in January 2026.
Jordan Film Fund: The RFC launched the call for the 11th cycle of the Jordan Film Fund in April 2026.
Workshops & Panels: In April 2026, the RFC hosted a high-profile panel titled ‘From Damascus to Hollywood’ featuring actor Jihad Abdo to highlight international career paths for regional talent.
