The Red Sea International Film Festival, set in the picturesque city of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, is a global celebration of storytelling through film. This vibrant event brings together filmmakers, industry professionals, and enthusiasts from around the world, showcasing diverse and groundbreaking works while nurturing emerging talent. At the heart of the festival is the Red Sea Souk, a dynamic film market that serves as a thriving hub for industry networking, business opportunities, and creative collaboration. It provides a platform for filmmakers, producers, distributors, and investors to engage in dialogue, form partnerships, and share compelling stories with global audiences.
A Stellar Edition: Held in December 2025, the festival’s fifth edition showcased an impressive lineup of more than 120 films across its sections while paying tribute to global and Arab industry figures, including Academy Award-winning filmmaker Darren Aronofsky; Academy Award-winning actor and composer Sir Anthony Hopkins; Saudi actor and filmmaker Ahd Kamel; three?time Academy Award-nominated French-Algerian director, screenwriter, and producer Rachid Bouchareb; and Egyptian-Tunisian actress and producer Hend Sabri.
New CEO on Board: In June 2025, the Red Sea Film Foundation appointed Saudi film industry pioneer Faisal Baltyour — founder of CineWaves — as its CEO.
