Launched in 2024 by Marco Orsini, the founder of the International Emerging Film Talent Association, IEFTF is an Athens-based philanthropic fund dedicated to providing support for unheard and unseen filmmaking talent. Through partnerships, funding, and cross-regional collaboration, the fund helps institutions create spaces where new voices can thrive and works with festivals, markets, labs, training initiatives, and cultural organizations to develop and sustain programs that advance talent and professional growth.
Championing talent at Cannes Docs: In support of emerging documentary voices, IEFTF is presenting a €10,000 cash prize and project follow-up support at Cannes Docs 2026.
Safe Harbor: Last year, the fund developed IFFR’s new market program, Safe Harbor, in collaboration with the festival. Designed to uplift projects in development from emerging filmmakers who have experienced displacement or forced migration, the program ran as a pilot edition during this year’s CineMart at IFFR.
