
Majd Eid achieved a significant breakthrough with GAZA MON AMOUR, which had its world premiere in the Orizzonti competition at the Venice International Film Festival. He followed this with THE ALLEYS, which premiered at Locarno’s Piazza Grande, and FARHA, which debuted at Toronto, positioning him at the center of high-profile contemporary Arab productions with widespread global reach. Eid has further demonstrated his versatility through major international engagements, including Ali Abbasi’s HOLY SPIDER, which competed for the Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival. He also starred in the action-drama REBEL, directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah. The film, a major international co-production, premiered at Cannes (Midnight Screenings) and featured Eid alongside Lubna Azabal.
ONCE UPON A TIME IN GAZA: Eid delivered a transformative performance in the Nasser Brothers’ film, which world premiered at the last Cannes’ Un Certain Regard. The film’s successful international run included a prominent screening at the CIFF, where Eid was honored with the Best Actor Award.
SEMSAM: In 2025, Eid starred in the Jordanian feature SEMSAM, which premiered at the Amman International Film Festival.
THE BOMBING OF PAN AM 103: Eid further expanded his international filmography with a key role in the BBC high-profile series. Portraying the role of Abdelbaset Al-Megrahi, the Libyan convicted of the 1988 bombing of Pan Am Flight 103 over Lockerbie, Scotland.
