CineMAD: Known for its innovative marketing strategies, MAD has a history of breaking new ground for Arab films and filmmakers. Its latest industry-building initiative is CineMAD, a three-month screening showcase launched in December in conjunction with distribution partners that brought more than 20 acclaimed festival films to cinema audiences across the Middle East and North Africa. Among the titles were Kaouther Ben Hania’s Oscar-nominated THE VOICE OF HIND RAJAB, Annemarie Jacir’s PALESTINE 36, Suzannah Mirghani’s COTTON QUEEN, and Jonathan Millet’s GHOST TRAIL.
MAD World’s Latest Titles: The 2025 Cannes’ premiered AISHA CAN’T FLY AWAY by Egyptian director Morad Mostafa; Dhafer L’abidine SOPHIA, which premiered at the 2025 Marrakech; and Tunisian director Mehdi Hmili’s EXILE at Locarno.
MAD Celebrity: MAD’s talent management subsidiary’s latest high-wattage addition to its talent roster is prolific directors Tarek Alarian and Kamla Abouzekri, stars Amr Saad and Ashraf Abdelbaky, and filmmaker Ahmed Amer.
