CAREER HIGHLIGHT(S):

Founded 16 years ago, MAD Solutions is the Arab World’s pre-eminent independent movie studio. Comprised of five subsidiaries, MAD is home to the world’s leading distributor of Arab films, the world’s largest promotional agency and management company for Arab creative talents, a fully integrated marketing and creative consultancy, and Arab cinema’s first global sales company. Boasting a rights library of more than 500 feature films, documentaries, and shorts, MAD is prolific in the financing, production, packaging, marketing, and distribution of Arab entertainment content that spans the gamut from festival prize-winners to commercial blockbusters. Headquartered in Cairo, MAD is also operational in the UAE, Lisbon, and New York, with representatives in Tunisia, Morocco, Palestine, Jordan, and Lebanon.

TWELVE-MONTH HIGHLIGHT(S):

Recent Titles: MAD's most recent titles include Marwan Hamed's EL SETT and the Lebanese anthology film HOME BITTER HOME, both of which screened at the Rotterdam International Film Festival — the former as part of a program honoring Hamed’s filmography and the latter premiering in the festival's Harbor Program.
CineMAD: Known for its innovative marketing strategies, MAD has a history of breaking new ground for Arab films and filmmakers. Its latest industry-building initiative is CineMAD, a three-month screening showcase launched in December in conjunction with distribution partners that brought more than 20 acclaimed festival films to cinema audiences across the Middle East and North Africa. Among the titles were Kaouther Ben Hania’s Oscar-nominated THE VOICE OF HIND RAJAB, Annemarie Jacir’s PALESTINE 36, Suzannah Mirghani’s COTTON QUEEN, and Jonathan Millet’s GHOST TRAIL.
MAD World’s Latest Titles: The 2025 Cannes’ premiered AISHA CAN’T FLY AWAY by Egyptian director Morad Mostafa; Dhafer L’abidine SOPHIA, which premiered at the 2025 Marrakech; and Tunisian director Mehdi Hmili’s EXILE at Locarno.
MAD Celebrity: MAD’s talent management subsidiary’s latest high-wattage addition to its talent roster is prolific directors Tarek Alarian and Kamla Abouzekri, stars Amr Saad and Ashraf Abdelbaky, and filmmaker Ahmed Amer.
