The Iraq Film Fund is an independent funding initiative dedicated to supporting Iraqi filmmakers across development, production, and post-production. Focused on amplifying underrepresented voices, the fund backs projects that reflect the country’s social, cultural, and political realities while connecting with international audiences. Since its launch, the fund has played a key role in nurturing a new generation of Iraqi filmmakers, supporting projects that have gone on to screen at major international festivals, including Cannes, Venice, and Toronto. Its approach emphasizes creative independence and cross-border collaboration, enabling filmmakers to navigate both local and global production landscapes.
