CAREER HIGHLIGHT(S):
The General Authority for Entertainment (GEA) was established in line with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 to regulate and develop the entertainment sector by providing inclusive, world-class entertainment. The GEA launched the Big Time Investment Fund to enhance the quality of Arabic content in film production, distribution, and manufacturing, with the participation of renowned artists from the Arab World.

TWELVE-MONTH HIGHLIGHT(S):
WELAD RIZK 3: Partially shot in Riyadh, the Egyptian film was produced by the GEA and generated over $22m in global box office revenue.
Al-Hesen Big Time Studios: The GEA opened the facility in November 2024. It includes two massive studios, each measuring 5,000 sqm, a complete production village workshop, and an expansive outdoor space of 150,000 sqm.
7 DOGS: The authority completed filming 7 DOGS, the largest Arab cinematic production to date with an estimated budget of over $40m, at Al-Hesen (Big Time) Studios in Riyadh over 120 days with major Arab stars, including Karim Abdel Aziz, Ahmed Ezz, and Nasser Al Qasabi, under the direction of international filmmakers Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah.
Upcoming Lineup: The GEA announced an ambitious slate of five upcoming movies to be shot at Al-Hesen Studios, including the epic BATTLE OF YARMOUK, Al Boulevard by Saudi filmmaker Mohamed Al Mulla, and the horror film PALACE OF FOG.
