CAREER HIGHLIGHT(S):
El Gehiny kicked off his career as a script developer before co-writing the hit sitcom RAGEL W SET SETAT. He later penned the comedy FEBRUARY 30 and found major success teaming up with director Tarek El Aryan on the blockbuster action franchise WELAD RIZK. Salah’s credits include the psychological thriller 122 and the football-themed comedy EL MATAREED, which he also produced.

TWELVE-MONTH HIGHLIGHT(S):
DEATH SQUAD: His long-awaited period action movie starring Ezz and Mena Shalaby is in the final stages of production.
WELAD RIZK 3: In addition to being the highest-earning Arab film of 2025 at local and international box offices so far with over $22m in revenues, the third instalment of the franchise won Best Film at the 2025 Joy Awards.
Golden Pen Award: El Gehiny was a jury member for the Saudi Awards celebrating Arabic and translated novels and screenplays, which totaled $740,000 in 2025.
