TWELVE-MONTH HIGHLIGHT(S): IMAX and muvi: The two companies announced their first
collaboration, which includes the installation of four
state-of-the-art IMAX with laser systems in major commercial
centers across Saudi Arabia. Lower Ticket Prices: In May 2024, muvi implemented a significant
price adjustment, offering standard tickets at a competitive
starting price of SAR 34 ($9.07). This initiative aligns with the
recent efforts of the Saudi Film Commission to adjust licensing
fees. From being the second most expensive marketplace in the
world to see films, KSA now ranks 22nd, making it more affordable
than neighboring markets like the UAE, Qatar, and Kuwait. Muvi Studios: During the second edition of the Saudi Film Forum,
the production arm of muvi Cinema will produce 10 Saudi films
after signing several production agreements with local companies.
