AFAC was established in 2007 by a group of Arab cultural activists as an independent organization dedicated to supporting artists, writers, researchers, intellectuals, and cultural organizations from the Arab region. Over the past 15 years, AFAC has successfully raised $57m and awarded over $43m in grants to various projects.
Last Year’s Portfolio: In 2024, AFAC supported 16 feature-length and five short projects for Arab filmmakers.
