Alshlahei's debut feature DISTANCE ZERO won Best Film at the Saudi Film Festival and the Best Cinematic Achievement Award at the Alexandria Film Festival. In the same year, he presented his second feature, TAMBOUR OF RETRIBUTION, which won four awards at CIFF, Malmö, and the Saudi Film Festival, and was Saudi Arabia’s submission to the Academy Awards. He also directed the TV historical drama KHOYOUT AL MA'AZEEB, which streamed on Shahid in Ramadan 2024.

Box Office Indie Hit: After its premiere in the 4th RSIFF, Alshlahei's third feature, HOBAL, made history as the fastest-growing independent film in the kingdom, surpassing over 580,000 admissions within nine weeks since its release in January 2024, grossing $6.5m. It has maintained its dominance at the Saudi box office, holding the number one position for four consecutive weeks, following an opening week with 120,000 admissions. HOBAL expanded its reach to Kuwait, the UAE, Oman, and Bahrain, securing over 90,000 additional admissions in the region.
