CAREER HIGHLIGHT(S):
Zawya Cinema opened its doors in March 2014 to screen non-commercial films from around the world daily, with special attention given to Arab and Egyptian independent films. Since its launch, Zawya Cinema has released over 300 local, regional, and international arthouse films. Since its inception, Zawya has also been responsible for the yearly Panorama of the European Film, showcasing award-winning European films.

TWELVE-MONTH HIGHLIGHT(S):
The 16th Panorama of European Film was held in January 2024. Over 45 films were screened simultaneously at Zawya and four other venues in Cairo and three other cities.
