CAREER HIGHLIGHT(S):
A prominent Saudi actress and screenwriter who has made significant contributions to the art scene in Saudi Arabia. Shesha made her acting debut with Mahmoud Sabbagh’s web series KASH in 2013 before landing her first leading role in a feature film in Khaled Nadershah’s EXIT 5. Her most important film project to date is KAYAN, which world premiered at the first RSIFF and competed in the eighth edition of the Saudi Film Festival, where Summer was awarded the Golden Palm Award for Best Actress.

TWELVE-MONTH HIGHLIGHT(S):
Shesha was featured in the lead role in the successful Saudi Netflix Original CRASHING EID. She also starred in the feature film TO MY SON, which held its world premiere at the thirf RSIFF, and recently starred in the sci-fi comedy YESTERDAY AFTER TOMORROW.


What's the best advice you have ever been given - or given to others?
Don’t listen to every bit of advice you hear and do what you believe in as long as it won’t kill you or get you into jail.

What has been your biggest setback/hurdle?
Fear of failure.

What is the biggest misunderstanding about the Arab World and/or its entertainment industry?
That all 22 countries in the Arab World are the same and have the exact same culture.

What will have the greatest game-changing effect on Arab cinema?
Telling new, authentic, and varied stories.

How do you recognize real talent?
By whether or not I get chills or goosebumps after seeing it.
