TWELVE-MONTH HIGHLIGHT(S):
Station Films had a fruitful year with Mohamed Kordofani’s GOODBYE JULIA, which premiered at the Un Certain Regard at the 76th Cannes Film Festival, making history for becoming the first Sudanese film to be selected by the festival since its inception, winning the Freedom Prize, and going on a successful festival tour in which it has won more than 25 awards so far, eight of which are audience awards. The company's current project SPECTERS OF AL HOOT, the feature directorial debut of Ahmad Mahmoud is in development and is scheduled to start filming in 2024. So far, it has won two awards from the CineGouna platform at the sixth edition of the El Gouna Film Festival and the OIF-ACP-EU Award during the Durban FilmMart in 2022.

CAREER HIGHLIGHT(S):
Amjad made history several times with his first feature debut, YOU WILL DIE AT TWENTY. The film was Sudan’s first selection in the 2019 Venice Film Festival, where he snagged the award for Best Debut Film before getting a dozen more prizes at subsequent festivals, including Best Screenplay from The Arab Cinema Center’s Critics’ Awards for Arab Films. He was also the co-producer of the Egyptian documentary CAPTAINS OF ZA’ATARI, which premiered in competition at the 44th Sundance Film Festival. Amjad was also selected to be part of the First Feature Film Independent Jury at the 74th Locarno Film Festival.

CAREER HIGHLIGHT(S):
A Sudanese director and producer, Al Omda's THE LAST GAME was screened at the Doha Tribeca Film Festival. He also collaborated with many Sudanese filmmakers as a producer, art director, and assistant director. Some notable films he worked on include Amjad Abu Alala’s YOU WILL DIE AT TWENTY and NYERKUK by Mohamed Kordofani, which won the NAAS award at the Carthage Film Festival in 2016. Omda was also a programmer at the Sudan Film Factory.
