Sawsan started her career in 2009 as a coordinator for several Arab festivals and film markets and a line producer in independent films. In 2019 she established her company Bonanza Films and produced her first short HENET WARD, which premiered at the Clermont-Ferrand Festival and was selected for 180 festivals worldwide, including BFI London, Palm Springs, Busan, Durban, and Cairo, winning 25 prizes. She then produced Khadiga with a French co-producer, which was also selected for Clermont-Ferrand.
Bonanza Films is currently in production on Morad Mostafa’s debut feature AISHA CAN\'T FLY AWAY ANYMORE, which is being developed and co-produced with Film Clinic, received development awards from the Gouna Film Festival and Cinemed, and was recently selected in Cannes’ Cinéfondation.
