The VOX Studios’ Egyptian action film 3AL ZERO opened as the number one Arabic movie in the UAE, Bahrain, and Oman. It was quickly followed by the Egyptian dark comedy VOY! VOY! VOY!, which enjoyed both commercial success and critical acclaim, was Egypt’s entry to the last Academy Awards, and was selected to feature as part of the Limelight Program of the 53rd International Film Festival Rotterdam. HAWJEN, another VOX film based on the best-selling Saudi fantasy novel, premiered at the 2023 Red Sea International Film Festival, becoming the first Saudi film to open the prestigious event. In the 2023 Majid Al Futtaim annual report, VOX Cinemas recorded 20m admissions, up by 6% from 2022, and sold 1.3 tons of popcorn to its moviegoers throughout the year.
