TWELVE-MONTH HIGHLIGHT(S):
In 2023, Muvi Studios, the production arm of the homegrown and biggest cinema chain in Saudi Arabia (Muvi Cinemas), financed and co-produced 10 Saudi and five Egyptian films, which grossed 33% of the total box office in KSA. Three of these titles — SATTAR, TWO FOR RENT, and MANDOOB — ended up in the top 20 highest-performing films in 2023. Muvi plans to release 10 titles in 2024, followed by nearly 20 in 2025, which will be evenly split between Saudi and Egyptian productions.
