CAREER HIGHLIGHT(S):
Following a series of acclaimed short films, Asmae marked a milestone in 2023 with the completion of her debut feature documentary THE MOTHER OF ALL LIES, which premiered at Cannes, where it won the Directing Prize in Un Certain Regard as well as the Golden Eye for Best Documentary.

TWELVE-MONTH HIGHLIGHT(S):
Her film was shortlisted for Best Feature Documentary at the 96th Academy Awards. Asmae was also nominated for the PGA and Independent Spirit awards for Best Doc, and most recently won the IDA Award for Best Director. Recently, the Cannes Festival announced Asmaa joining the 2024 Un Certain Regard jury.
