CAREER HIGHLIGHT(S):
An accomplished actor who has been recognized by Screen Daily as one of the Arab Stars of Tomorrow in 2017 and by the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) as a Rising Star in 2018. He has starred in many international films, including the Australian film THE FURNACE, for which he was nominated for Best Lead Actor in the AACTA Awards. The film premiered at Venice and was praised by Screen Daily for Malek's "eye-catching” performance. Malek has also starred in films by Amr Salama’s SHEIKH JACKSON, which premiered at the 42nd TIFF. Additionally, Malek featured alongside an all-star cast in Marwan Hamed’s box office smash KIRA & EL GIN and followed up with a co-starring role in Netflix’s THE SWIMMERS

Malek continues to be a young star in high demand. His recent works include international movies such as MATAR — in which he plays a refugee in England facing the challenges of the UK’s unwelcoming immigration system — Marco De Rosso’s short film FINCHLEY LANE, and the BBC production TV series BOILING POINT. Besides his artistic career, Malek was Dior's choice as its first male Middle East ambassador for fashion and fragrances.
