CAREER HIGHLIGHT(S):
The Saudi Film Commission is a governmental body established in 2020 to develop the film sector and the film production ecosystem in Saudi Arabia and to empower Saudi filmmakers across all value chain elements. Film Saudi is the funding arm of the commission, offering incentives to enable projects and to connect filmmakers with the right talent, local service providers, crews, facilities, and other partners. Its incentive program is one of the strategic initiatives of the film commission to develop the kingdom's film industry.

TWELVE-MONTH HIGHLIGHT(S):
The Saudi Film Commission participated in the 74th Berlinale to showcase the kingdom's efforts to support its film industry by holding a panel discussion titled ‘Funding Programs and Saudi Filming Locations.’ It also signed a framework memorandum of understanding with China's Bona Film Group, paving the way for investment in the film industry, exploration of a joint film fund, distribution of Saudi films in China, and development of Saudi filmmaking talent through engagement with Bona Film Group productions and Chinese educational institutions.
