In 2022, MBC, the mother company for Shahid, joined the Alliance for Creativity and Entertainment — the Motion Picture Association’s anti-piracy organization. This will serve Shahid’s new strategy to offer non-stop Arabic content and original productions that are set in all major Arab communities. The platform’s main season is the holy month of Ramadan, however, during 2022, it launched several new series throughout the year on a regular basis. According to Barnett, the platform is now heading to 4m subscribers.
