TWELVE-MONTH HIGHLIGHT(S):
Throughout the last 12 months, Metropolis Cinema was keen on bringing more activity
to the Arab cinema scene and organized it in collaboration with Locarno Industry Academy. Before that, it held the Écrans du
Réel documentary film festival with the support of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation and participated in
launching Mt7rk — an online hub about the animation industry and all its affiliations in the Arab world.

CAREER HIGHLIGHT(S):
A programmer and director of Metropolis — the only art house theater in
Lebanon, which she established in 2006. Mroue is also the director of Talents Beirut — a branch of the
Berlinale Talents dedicated to DOPs, editors, and sound designers from the Arab world.
Moreover, she founded MC Distribution to sell and distribute Arab independent films in the MENA region
and she’s a programming consultant at the Marrakesh International Film Festival.
