She started out as a journalist and then a documentary maker, founded the webzine Inkyfada, and became a member of the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists.

TWELVE-MONTH HIGHLIGHT(S):
Her debut narrative feature UNDER THE FIG TREES was described by Cineuropa as a “beautiful and timeless narrative feature debut.” The film premiered at the Directors’ Fortnight at the Cannes Film Festival last year, where it won two awards — the Prix SACD and the Prix Illy du Court Métrage. The film also received nine nominations from various international festivals.

The precariousness of many writers and filmmakers.

Financing manager in a bank.

Watching THE VOICE.
